Job summary

LFG designs, builds and manages power infrastructure for compute systems and utility providers. The Structural Engineer ensures that buildings and equipment supports carry loads including heavy electrical gear and withstand seismic events.

The role focuses on foundations, slabs, steel framing, equipment pads, seismic anchorage and on-site observation. You will coordinate with outside consultants and review submittals while maintaining safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
• 5+ years of structural design experience.
• Knowledge of ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360 and the International and California building codes.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000 or RISA.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Design and review foundations, slabs, steel framing, roof structures and equipment pads.
• Design for heavy equipment loads from generators, transformers, rooftop mechanical units and racks.
• Carry out seismic design and equipment anchorage, which is especially important at the California sites.
• Evaluate existing buildings for conversion or retrofit.
• Prepare calculations and drawings for permits and respond to plan review comments.
• Manage outside structural consultants and review their work.
• Observe construction on site, and review submittals and contractor questions.
