Job summary

The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising is seeking a Structural Engineer based in Irvine, California. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, at least 10 years of experience, and must hold a professional engineering license. Responsibilities include serving as a technical expert, project planning and supervision of engineering staff. Experience with software such as ETABS and AutoCAD is highly preferred. This is a full-time position with regular employee status.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng.).
• Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert in structural engineering as it relates to projects.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities.
• Supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
