Job summary

Kleinschmidt seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Redmond, WA or Portland, OR office in a hybrid role.

You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and perform technical design for hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resources projects.

A PE license with 10+ years of structural experience is required; travel is expected and you will coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers across projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer with a BS in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with hydroelectric design projects; fisheries or water-resource projects a plus.
• Knowledge of codes and standards; experience with concrete/steel structures in water environments; field coordination with other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage project teams including junior and senior staff, drafters, and coordinators.
• Perform technical design for hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resources projects.
• Lead client relationships and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently and provide technical leadership.
