Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a civil/structural engineer with 6+ years of relevant industrial experience to perform complete design tasks and lead small to mid-size teams. You will verify calculations, develop specifications, and coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.

Ideal candidates have an accredited civil engineering degree, structural coursework, and PE registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the International Building Code and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Experience with civil/structural analysis software and interpreting results.
• Familiarity with design and drafting standards within a civil/structural context.
• Ability to lead small to medium teams to deliver on commitments.
• Proficient in using STAAD, E3D, MicroStation and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete civil/structural design tasks for projects under supervision.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes and criteria.
• Develop construction specifications and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines for project flow.
• Mentor drafting/engineering personnel and assist in package assembly for procurement.
