Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to join our Lake Oswego office. You will work with a team of industry experts to deliver seismic-focused designs and complex multi-disciplinary projects for manufacturing clients.

You'll mentor junior engineers, develop drawings and calculations, and ensure code-compliant solutions, while collaborating closely with clients and project teams to achieve practical, safe, and innovative outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Expertise in seismic design and code compliance.
• Proficient with structural software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and inspection documents for new and existing structures.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Produce structural calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Conduct field work including site observations and coordination with clients.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver seismic-focused projects.
• Support continuous improvement and design changes as needed.
