Job summary

Lvi-Associates in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead engineering from concept through construction documents, with ownership of projects across healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors. You will serve as Engineer of Record, coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients, and seal drawings.

Requirements include a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, 8+ years of experience, a PE license or path to licensure, and proficiency with Revit, RAM, RISA,

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS a plus.
• 8+ years of building structural design experience; senior/lead level.
• PE license or on the runway to licensure; support to obtain it.
• Proficiency across structural software: Revit, RAM, RISA, ENERCALC, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record and lead structural design and analysis from concept through construction documents.
• Design across steel, reinforced and precast concrete, masonry, timber and light-gauge framing; cover gravity and lateral systems.
• Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, owners and developers; represent the firm before clients and code officials.
• Seal drawings; own QA/QC; manage scope, schedule and fees.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
