Job summary

Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead composite and metallic structural designs for Brunswick Boat Group products, including Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, and Navan. You will apply both analytical and experimental methods for design validation of structures, fastenings, and mechanisms.

The role requires strong FEA experience, mentoring capabilities, and collaboration across design, manufacturing, testing, and suppliers. Travel about 5% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in mechanical/naval/m marine engineering; master’s preferred.
• Extensive experience in structural analysis of composites and metals.
• Proficiency with FEA tools and robust understanding of manufacturing constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design activities for boat structures using FEA and CAE tools.
• Develop robust structural solutions to optimize weight, cost, and performance.
• Design and evaluate composite laminate schedules for structural members and molded components.
• Ensure designs are validated through analyses, testing, and correlation methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers in structural disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with NMMA, ABYC, ISO and other standards.
