Job summary

Origin Design in Iowa serves as a full-service firm delivering architecture, engineering, field services, and land surveying. We are hiring a full-time Senior Structural Engineer to join our Dubuque or Davenport offices, with potential remote work opportunities.

Qualifications include a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural), PE licensure in IA/WI, IL licensure preferred, and a minimum of 15 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural) from ABET-accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Professional Engineer in Iowa and/or Wisconsin.
• Illinois Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of structural engineering experience.
• Proven business development and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering efforts for project delivery.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for structural projects.
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Meet with clients to define scope, prepare agreements, and represent Origin Design at meetings.
• Identify new opportunities with the business development team and expand client base.
• Oversee construction administration, submittals, RFIs, and site visits.
• Coordinate work with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines.
