A leading engineering staffing agency is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead building design projects in Miami. In this role, you will manage commercial, residential, and high-rise building projects, ensuring compliance with local standards and coordinating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have a PE license, over 8 years of experience, and strong knowledge of structural design software. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
8+ years of structural engineering experience with a focus on building design.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and foundations, including coastal/wind load design.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Lead structural design for commercial, residential, mixed-use, and high-rise building projects.
Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports.
Oversee junior engineers and coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and contractors.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations from concept through construction.
Perform site visits, structural assessments, and construction administration tasks.
Ensure designs comply with Florida Building Code and related standards.
Present technical findings and serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
