Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join the Building Systems team.

You will work on a range of building projects, collaborating with PMs, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver code-compliant and practical solutions. Qualifications include ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, EIT (PE pursuit or exam passed), and proficiency with structural analysis software, CAD, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Experience in structural engineering or related building design required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; pursuing PE licensure or have passed PE exam.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
• Proficiency in CAD and Revit; strong knowledge of building codes and design standards.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building systems and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with development of design concepts and engineering solutions for new and existing structures.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and project stakeholders throughout all phases.
• Support project managers in maintaining schedules, budgets and deliverables quality.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client service.
