Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a hybrid role based in Overland Park, KS, near Kansas City. The position is salaried and includes eligibility for overtime.

You will work independently and with a multidisciplinary team on industrial and manufacturing projects, focusing on foundations, structures, and 3D modeling. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in structural engineering, and holds an ABET-accredited BSCE with EIT; a PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship.
• 10+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer or equivalent.
• Four-year ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred).
• EIT required; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs for foundations, structures for equipment supports, pipe supports, and building structures.
• Direct other engineers and designers to complete engineering designs per practices and standards (if registered PE).
• Learn and apply engineering design software for structural analysis and 3D modeling.
• Develop engineering contract documents, including 3D models, drawings, details, specs, and scopes of work.
• Assist in gathering field data and participate as a team member to provide solutions.
• Prepare project correspondence and maintain client relationships.
