Job summary

Nabors Industries is seeking a lead Structural Engineer to design drilling structures and subsystems, managing capital projects from planning through execution. The role requires coordinating with Operations, Marketing and Purchasing to improve rig productivity and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years of experience, a BS in civil/structural engineering, and strong knowledge of API 4F, SolidWorks, StruCAD and related tools. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in a structural/engineering role, with at least 5 years in drilling contracting/services
• BS in civil/structural engineering from an accredited university is required
• Highly proficient in drilling and oilfield structures
• Proficient with structural analysis tools such as SolidWorks Simulation, StruCAD, SAFI, and/or RISA 3D
• Proficient with drafting software such as AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Project

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of drilling structures and associated sub-systems to meet operational requirements
• Manage capital construction projects from planning through execution
• Provide technical support to Operations, Marketing, and Purchasing to improve rig productivity and reliability
• Evaluate equipment performance and implement engineering solutions to enhance efficiency
