Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings) in Oklahoma City. You will lead structural design on diverse building projects, with autonomy to own projects and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include performing analyses, developing plans and calculations, and coordinating with architects, MEP, and civil disciplines. PE license and a bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Significant structural engineering experience on building projects.
• Ability to independently perform structural analysis and calculations.
• Experience developing and reviewing structural construction documents.

Job Details

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer / PE to join our Oklahoma City team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building projects.
• Develop structural plans, details, calculations, and construction documents.
• Apply engineering judgment to structural systems and design challenges.
• Review drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables for accuracy.
• Coordinate structural design with architectural, MEP, civil, and other disciplines.
• Work directly with project teams and clients to resolve design issues.
• Review and respond to contractor and field questions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Support project planning, coordination, and delivery.
• Review and provide direction on structural Revit models and construction documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Significant professional structural engineering experience.
• Strong building structural design experience.
• Ability to independently perform structural analysis and engineering calculations.
• Experience developing and reviewing structural construction documents.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel, concrete, masonry, and/or wood design.
• Experience with Revit and structural BIM workflows.
• Experience working in an architectural/structural engineering consulting environment.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or designers.
• Experience with industrial structures, piping facilities, or wastewater treatment facilities.
• Delegated steel connection design experience.
