Job summary

STV Group in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings) to design and analyze new structures, including buildings and transit facilities, within the Buildings Division. You will develop designs, review submittals, and collaborate with a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of structural design experience.
• PE license is required.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation; familiar with structural analysis software.
• Strong analytical skills and teamwork and time management abilities.

STV has an immediate opening for a Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings) to join our growing team out of our Boston, MA office as part of the Buildings Division. This is a great opportunity for an individual to work on exciting projects as part of a team of dedicated engineers.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging projects, which will include tasks such as the design of a variety of new structures including buildings, transit stations, retaining walls, and other miscellaneous structures; analysis of existing structures; review and/or production of construction submittals; and review of contract plans for conformance with established design criteria.This position also offers a flexible career path with opportunities to pursue a technical track with increasing design and leadership responsibilities or to grow into a project management role.Responsibilities:Preparing design calculations for buildings and other structures.Developing structural and other drawings through Revit and AutoCAD software packages for buildings and other structures.Producing design related reports.
