Job summary

Bala Structures in Boston is seeking a seasoned structural engineer to lead design and structural E.O.R. for new and renovated buildings. You will develop client relationships and collaborate across disciplines in a dynamic engineering firm.

Requirements include a structural or civil degree, 10+ years of experience, EIT, and PE preferred. The role offers full-time onsite work with some remote opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Structural engineering degree with emphasis on structures.
• EIT certification required with a focus on structural engineering; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee building structures; serve as structural E.O.R. for new, renovated, and added buildings.
• Provide consultations to clients on structural work and coordinate with MEP teams.
• Support Bala’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Adapt to diverse sectors: commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.

Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

Bala Structures is seeking a motivated experienced structural engineer to join the Boston office. Strong interpersonal skills for developing client relationships is a must. We are looking at qualified applicants with diverse backgrounds to help continue to grow the Structures group at Bala.

This role will work in a multitude of services within structural engineBering including, but not limited to:

• Design and serve as, or work with, the structural E.O.R. for building designs of new construction, renovations and additions.
• Provide consultations to clients and prospective clients for structural work.
• Support BALA’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Adapt to the varieties of business sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.
• In addition, we support any path within the realm of structural engineer that aligns with BALA’s vision.

Job Requirements:

• Structural Engineering, or Civil Degree with structural emphasis, from an accredited institution.
• Registered EIT with a focus on Structural Engineering; Registered PE preferred
• 10+ years experience in structural design of buildings
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Capable of working individually, and in a team environment.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative work situations.
• A drive for thorough research, and multi-disciplinary curiosities.
