Jobot seeks a seasoned Structural Engineer to join our Grand Rapids team. You will design, plan, and oversee civil/structural projects, ensuring safety and compliance with code and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil or structural engineering with site development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D is essential.
• Strong understanding of erosion control, shoring, and drainage.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Commitment to professional development and learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas using AutoCAD 3D, considering client requirements and environmental impacts.
• Ensure designs are robust, safe, and sustainable.
• Conduct site investigations to gather data for planning and design.
• Work on erosion control to minimize environmental impact.
• Develop detailed site development designs, including drainage and shoring.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings, translating complex concepts for clients.
• Liaise with architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Monitor project progress from concept to completion, ensuring conformance with the design.
• Stay up-to-date with engineering developments and apply innovations.
