RIMEPRO INC is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Tampa to lead design and construction support for complex projects. The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, independent technical decisions, and strengthening quality control across delivery phases.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with structural steel and commercial structures, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills to guide project teams and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
• EIT required or actively pursuing PE licensure.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from design through construction support.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and design documents.
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering plans and construction documents.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and engineering revisions.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and technical decision-making.

Summary

A well-established structural engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and quality control of complex structural projects. This role is responsible for producing structural calculations, reviewing drawings, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest level of quality across all phases of project delivery.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing structural steel buildings and other complex commercial structures, enjoys mentoring engineers, and has the technical expertise to make engineering decisions independently. The firm is looking for someone who can strengthen its quality control process while supporting project production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from design through construction support
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and design documents
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering plans and construction documents
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with architects, owners, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and engineering revisions
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and engineering standards

Requirements

• Ambition to obtain or maintain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
