Stantec is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Minneapolis. In this role, you will provide technical design, project management, and mentor junior engineers. You will also assist in business development and ensure project success through effective leadership.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with proficiency in structural design software and analysis. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills.
As a Senior Structural Engineer at Stantec, you will utilize your skills in leadership, communication, problem solving, design and construction documentation, code analysis and engineering judgment in a fast‑paced professional environment. In addition, you will assist in mentoring and guiding other technical professionals in a team environment.
As a member of our Structural team, your role covers a wide array of tasks and responsibilities, including technical design and production, project and personnel management, and business development. Briefly, these are summarized below.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Typical office environment, working with computers and drawings for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to hazards including construction, weather, and industrial operations that may be experienced at industrial facilities and water and/or wastewater related facilities.
The expectation is that the person selected for this role will work in the Plymouth and/or Minneapolis office and generally will be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
