Stanley Consultants is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer for our Chicago, Minneapolis, or Muscatine office.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Determining client requirements and developing reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents
• Visiting construction sites to monitor progress
• Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects
• Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients
• Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas
• Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions
• Compensated overtime to fit project need and team workload
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in the design of buildings and other structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by ICC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC
• Experience as structural lead on multiple concurrent large projects
• Proficient in concrete and structural steel design, including vibration analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members
• Software: RISA or STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE (optional)
• PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with government design standards such as Unified Facilities Criteria
• International travel capabilities
• Power generation experience
• Experience in Masonry, CFS, or Wood Design
  
  

Base Compensation: $108,500 - $144,400

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.

Stanley’s Approach to Flexibility

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
