Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) is seeking a senior aerospace mechanical engineer to design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services across the product lifecycle.

You will apply advanced static and dynamic analyses, perform FEA with MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex structural challenges in aerospace and defense.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Advanced knowledge of static and/or dynamic analyses.

Job description

Design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services. (From advanced mission payloads, electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital & space exploration systems. Examine complex metallic & composite structures and systems and be involved with the design & development of new products/processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Static and/or Dynamic Analyses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
• Exp performing fatigue & damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools like NASGRO or AFGROW.
• Ability to perform classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methods.
• Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles (parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing & production processes.
• Ability to author substantiation reports.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
