Job summary

Tetra Tech Rooney, a Tetra Tech Inc. business unit, is seeking a Structural Engineer in Englewood, CO with flexibility for Billings, MT or Casper, WY offices. This role focuses on design and analysis for pipeline and energy projects within a nationwide scope.

The candidate will contribute solid civil/structural engineering expertise to an established team, with requirements including a PE license and 5–10 years of relevant experience. Office-based position with travel up to 10%.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• NCEES Professional Engineer SE qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.

Your Role

This position provides engineering support for pipeline, compressor station, pump stations, meter facilities, and other Tetra Tech units doing power stations, data centers, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. A successful candidate will bring design engineering and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record in the Energy Industry.

Qualifications

• B.S. in ABET accredited Civil Engineering program with minimum 5–10 years of relevant structural engineering experience. NCEES record preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• NCEES Professional Engineer SE qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in the Midstream Oil & Gas industry, specifically crude oil, refined products, CO2, NGL, wet and natural gas is preferred, but not required.
• Understand civil/structural engineering design, analysis and development of scope of work documents.
• Ability to apply civil/structural engineering knowledge and techniques for industrial capital projects.
• Pre‑employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target Salary Range

$100k to $150k. Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• Constantly use hands to keyboard or type, handle materials, or manipulate objects.
• Light work that includes lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and, occasionally, up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently move about to accomplish tasks.
• Close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Clear speech and hearing to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
• Composure and ability to prioritize and handle several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy.
• Occasionally climb stairs and ladders to read meters at active oil & gas sites.

• Travel: Up to 10%.
