WGI is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead their Light Gauge Steel Practice Group in Dallas. This role involves managing structural design projects, mentoring younger staff, and ensuring quality control. The position requires a strong background in engineering, expertise in light gauge steel, and excellent leadership capabilities.
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (Light Gauge Steel Practice Lead) with 7 to 15 years of professional experience to lead our Light Gauge Steel Practice Group in our Structural Engineering Division in either of our Austin, Dallas, Houston Texas Offices. This position, either individually or as part of a team, is responsible for the overall design, review and coordination of light gauge steel building projects from inception through completion of construction in a multitude of markets such as multi-family, mixed-use, retail, office, industrial, and commercial.
The Senior Structural Engineer will establish and grow our Light Gauge Steel Practice Group focusing on project delivery, educating younger staff, and be a thought leader for their respective expertise. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. This individual will need to operate effectively and concurrently on multiple projects, should be self-motivated, and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically excellent structural designs. This individual will also have a strong desire to collaborate with our Technology team in the development and fine-tuning of technological solutions of product delivery.
