Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Structural Designer in the US with expertise in 3D modeling, draft detailing, and QA/QC for steel and concrete structures. You’ll lead complex drawings, calculations, and project team collaboration across facilities and power projects.

The role requires a strong knowledge of structural software and coordination with PMs and engineers. Expect full-time hours with competitive compensation and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field with significant related experience.
• Advanced understanding of design software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Excel.
• Expert knowledge in design, calculations and structural systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of 3D models and detailed construction drawings for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Lead drawing production, design layout and calculations on non-routine assignments.
• Design and draft structural elements and details; review drawings for scope, budget and schedule.
