Job summary

You will design with Impact CAD, collaborate with account managers and customers, lead projects, and pursue continuous improvement across manufacturing efficiency, cost performance, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years industry experience preferred.
• Experience in point-of-purchase display and packaging design.
• Advanced proficiency in Impact CAD and retail packaging manufacturing.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Independent thinking and action required.
• Customer relationship management.
• Graphic design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative corrugated retail packaging and displays with Impact CAD.
• Develop designs meeting customer expectations, product protection, retail compliance, and supply chain needs.
• Create prototypes, samples, drawings, and specs for review and approval.
• Apply technical knowledge to optimize manufacturability, assembly, transport, and cost.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, design team, and customers to define objectives.
• Lead key customer accounts and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance design performance and value.
• Stay informed on retail display trends, packaging technologies, materials, and sustainability.

Job Description

The Senior Structural Design position is pivotal in delivering innovative corrugated retail packaging and packaging solutions that set industry standards. This position involves designing visually compelling and functional displays and packaging that meet both client and retailer expectations. This role requires a blend of creative design skills, technical expertise, and leadership qualities to drive design excellence and support the company's reputation for innovative POP solutions.

The Job You Will Perform

• Design innovative corrugated retail packaging, and merchandising solutions using Impact CAD design software.
• Develop designs that meet customer expectations, product protection, retail compliance, and supply chain considerations.
• Create prototypes, samples, engineering drawings, and detailed specifications for customer review, testing, and approval.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge to optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality transportation, and cost performance.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Design team members, and Customers to understand project objectives and design requirements.
• Lead key customer accounts, manage projects at once while meeting deadlines and business priorities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve design performance, manufacturing efficiency, and customer value.
• Stay informed on emerging retail display trends, packaging technologies, materials, and sustainability initiatives.
