We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our Clean Air Technology division in Alpharetta, GA. This role involves collaborating with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality designs for various industrial projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to solving design challenges while ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

1. Working on industrial capital projects, develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D structural design drawings, plant layouts, models, and material lists.
2. Assist the sales team with proposal drawings, material take-offs, and related deliverables.
3. Ensure the completeness of project-related information, requesting additional details when necessary.
4. Work closely with Sales, Project Engineering, and Project Management to ensure designs meet project contract requirements.
5. Participate in internal and external project meetings, providing technical input and updates.
6. Review drawings prepared by peers and vendors for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to best design practices.
7. Ensure all designs align with industry codes, company standards, and project-specific requirements.
8. Review and modify designs from other regions to comply with U.S. engineering regulations.
9. Participate in site visits to gather field measurements and resolve design-related issues.
10. Contribute to resolving project challenges through practical design solutions.
11. Leverage and adapt design standards and practices from other regions to enhance project outcomes.

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

1. Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in structural design, particularly in industrial projects.
3. Experience with structural steel, access, and platework layout, design, and detailing; required.
4. Excellent command of Computer-Aided Design software in 2D and 3D (e.g., AutoCAD, E3D, Inventor, Plant 3D).
5. Ability to calculate lengths, distances, angles, areas, and volumes.
6. General math skills and knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
7. Strong, practical knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and industry standards (OSHA, ANSI, D1.1, etc.).
8. Familiarity with U.S. engineering regulations and compliance requirements.
9. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
12. Must be able to provide direct, mentor, and guide junior staff.
13. Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 5-20%) and wear the required PPE.
14. Willingness to work in culturally and geographically diverse teams.
15. Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Other valued experience, knowledge, skills and abilities (preferred):

1. Industrial process piping experience.
2. Air Pollution Control equipment design experience.
3. Knowledge of DIN / ISO / EN.
4. Certification in CAD or structural design.
