Job summary

EmployBridge is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer & Design Manager in Texas to lead a team of drafters, review structural plans, and seal engineering calculations for residential and commercial projects. This hands-on role blends leadership with technical oversight across design, drafting, and project execution.

The ideal candidate holds a US PE license, 5+ years of structural engineering experience, and proven ability to stamp/seal drawings while mentoring others and guiding projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
• Current PE license in the United States and ability to stamp/seal drawings
• Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience
• Experience leading/d supervising drafting/design teams
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building codes and structural analysis software

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CAD drafters and designers
• Review drawings, calculations, and documents for accuracy and compliance
• Establish drafting and engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Quality, and Operations for project execution
• Design and analyze structural systems for residential manufactured home projects
• Perform structural calculations using approved software
• Ensure compliance with building codes
• Review and approve construction documents and design modifications
• Apply professional seal to drawings and calculations when required
• Travel as needed for site visits and project coordination
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains
