Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Level 3 Structural Engineer to lead structural design for infrastructure and building projects. This role requires a professionally licensed engineer with the ability to acquire additional licenses in other states as needed to meet project requirements.

The successful candidate will design, review, and coordinate structural solutions that align with project goals while complying with applicable regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a PE license in good standing.
• 5–7 years of structural engineering experience for infrastructure/building projects.
• Ability to acquire and maintain licenses in multiple states as needed.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting structural work.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in structural software: STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for infrastructure and building projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and standards at all levels.
• Assist in acquiring professional engineering licenses in other states as required.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices and design principles.
• Contribute to development of design standards, templates, and processes.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and design practices.
