Job summary

Gulfstream is seeking a Dept. 651 Structural Design Engineer for the Special Missions team. The role focuses on modifying Gulfstream aircraft to meet special use requirements, requiring deep CATIA v5 expertise and 3D MBD/GD&T proficiency.

Open to US Persons only. The ideal candidate has heavy DFMA experience and can lead design reviews, manage tasks, and coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20,000 hours or 10 years experience on CATIA v5 in primary structure design.
• Solid understanding of DFMA and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 3D Model Based Definition (3D MBD) and GD&T.
• Proven ability to manage projects including design, certification, release and stakeholder presentations.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality aircraft structural designs ready for manufacturing.
• Engage engineering, manufacturing, program and customer support teams to complete designs.
• Participate in design reviews and aircraft build support.
• Prepare engineering reports and coordinate with suppliers.
