NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Senior Engineer (Structural & Building Assessment) to join our Fort Lauderdale, FL team. You will lead structural plan reviews, building evaluations, and milestone inspections for diverse commercial and residential projects.

The role requires a Florida PE license, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication to collaborate with owners, architects, and municipalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 8 years of structural engineering or related consulting experience.
• Experience performing structural plan reviews and engineering evaluations.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code and local review processes.

Responsabilités

• Conduct Milestone Inspections and 40-Year Recertification evaluations for existing structures.
• Perform structural condition assessments and evaluations of various buildings.
• Review structural plans, calculations, shop drawings for code compliance.
• Sign and seal engineering reports and reviews as required.
• Provide technical oversight for CMT, Special Inspections, and QA programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development efforts.
