Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. in Foster City, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer to plan, manage, and coordinate public works projects, including design, construction, and maintenance, and to provide support to clients and stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, a CA PE license, and proficiency with Caltrans standards. You will lead teams, develop plans and budgets, and coordinate with utilities, agencies, and contractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Ability to mentor mid-level design staff.
• Current California Professional Engineer license is required.
• Well versed in Caltrans and California Building Code for public works.
• Experience with design and construction of bridges, walls, tanks, and other structures.
• Proficient in structural analysis software (SAP2000, Enercalc, RetainPro, AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of Caltrans Bridge design standards and California Building Code.
• Develop and supervise teams of engineers for plans, specifications and estimates for public works construction.
• Direct engineering staff to perform complex engineering work ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules for timely delivery.
• Coordinate project activities with stakeholders including clients, field personnel, agency staff, utilities, and contractors.
• May maintain knowledge of Caltrans and/or AASHTO design standards.
• Work closely with clients and project teams.
• Perform other related duties as required.
