Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Specialist on the Structural BIM team to advance Building Information Modeling for structural detailing. You will create accurate Revit models, coordinate with architects and MEP, and ensure constructible drawings and schedules across project phases.

Here you will mentor junior staff, implement EUA standards, and drive high-quality BIM workflows within a multidisciplinary design environment in Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Drafting, BIM, Civil/Structural Technology or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a structural drafting or BIM role.
• Experience in a consulting structural engineering environment.
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam or similar tools.
• Knowledge of BIM execution plans and model coordination workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and revise structural BIM models in Revit for various project types.
• Produce structural drawings, details, and schedules for design and construction docs.
• Assist engineers with model setup, standards, and drawing production.
• Coordinate structural models with architectural/MEP models to resolve clashes.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and address coordination issues.
• Implement and adhere to BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Assist with model quality control to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Support design development, permitting, and construction phases as needed.
• Mentor less experienced structural team members on BIM/VDC processes.
• Manage structural data exchange and integrate BIM with project tools.
