Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Structural and Payload Design Engineer - Certification (Level 4) to join our Payloads Interior Certification team based in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Certification Engineer works closely with the Interior Arrangement Engineering Unit Member (E-UM). Responsibilities include ensuring compliance for interior design groups, reviewing certification and major/minor forms, drafting Requests for Conformity (RFC), reviewing compliance documents, presenting the aircraft to the Interior Arrangement E-UM, collaborating with design and production teams, and preparing compliance reports. The role requires close interaction with project Certification Plan Owners, Design Teams, and Regulatory Agencies.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support creation and review of certification documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Coordinate certification processes with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, providing guidance on certification strategies.
• Communicate effectively across organizations and leadership levels.
• Problem-solve and think critically.
• Lead and manage projects to plan.
• Work under minimal supervision.

Work Authorization: This position is expected to be 100% onsite at North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including design, integration, or certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of payloads engineering releases and configuration management.
• Experience with project management best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Experience in Certification Plan Authoring, ENOVIA, IVT, DCCS, REDARS.
• Experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and EASA standards.
• Reviewing technical documents experience.
