Job summary

Prometheus Energetics is seeking an experienced Structural Analyst / Senior Structural Analyst to lead the structural lifecycle of Solid Rocket Motor components, from sizing and material characterization to high-rate production support.

The candidate will develop advanced FEM models, perform multi-physics analyses, and drive validation through test correlation, with ITAR/EAR compliance and potential security clearances in a demanding energetic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• 4–6 years for Structural Analyst; 7–10+ years for Senior role in structural stress analysis.
• Proficiency in advanced FEA tools and composite layup analysis.
• Clearance ability and U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural sizing, margins, and strength evaluations for SRM components.
• Develop 2D/3D FEM models and perform static, dynamic, buckling analyses.
• Conduct coupled thermal-structural and pressure-stress analyses.
• Execute fracture mechanics, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
• Plan and correlate tests; support root-cause investigations and FRACAS/MRB.
• Prepare SARs, reports, and design rationales for program milestones.
