Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida is seeking a seasoned structural analyst to lead and coordinate structural analysis on the First Stage Fluid System of the New Glenn launch vehicle. This hands-on role covers configuration development, trade studies, reporting, test support, post-test analysis, and disposition of manufacturing defects, with opportunities to influence design and reliability.

Candidates will apply technical leadership, integrity, and a passion for advancing human spaceflight.

Qualifications

Passion for our mission: millions living and working in space
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
5+ years in structural/dynamic analysis of pressurized components/systems
Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS preferred) including structural, dynamic, thermal
Knowledge of 3D CAD (Creo/SolidWorks/NX)
Knowledge of manufacturing methods, material selection and testing
Ability to use structural hand-calcs for quick decisions
U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. work status

Perform and coordinate structural analysis on the First Stage Fluid System of the New Glenn launch vehicle
Lead configuration development and trade studies
Develop novel analysis approaches to challenging problems
Craft analysis reports to support drawing releases
Support structural test development and post-test analysis
Dispositions manufacturing defects and analyzes repairs
Apply leadership, integrity and a commitment to quality to safe human spaceflight
