Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Structural Analyst to own the prediction and verification workflow for flight hardware.

You will define load cases, perform static strength, fatigue life, and damage-tolerance analyses, and drive model‑based design decisions with clear documentation and repeatable processes. You will build tools and templates, collaborate with propulsion, GNC, and test teams, and ensure test data and measurements are correlated with models to support flight

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5+ years of structural analysis experience for flight hardware.
  • Strong fundamentals in mechanics, fatigue, fracture, and materials behavior.
  • Proficiency with commercial FEA tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of structural prediction and data for the team.
  • Derive and maintain structural load sets and analyze static strength.
  • Perform fatigue and durability analysis for reusable hardware.
  • Conduct fracture and damage-tolerance analysis with crack growth.
  • Develop tools, templates, and checklists for repeatable analyses.
  • Define material allowables and test objectives; support testing.
  • Correlate analytical predictions with test data and measurements.
  • Support anomaly investigation and root cause analyses.
