Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior structural analyst to join the Lunar Permanence team in Denver. You will lead analyses from concept through drawing release for fluid and pressurized lunar systems, using advanced FEM methods and in-house tools to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a BS in engineering or physics and 10+ years in aerospace structural analysis, with experience in ANSYS Workbench or NASTRAN. You will collaborate with NASA and partners on the Human Landing System program.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering, or physics.
  • 10+ years of structural analysis experience in aerospace, energy or transportation.
  • Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods and tools.
  • Experience with FEM software (preferred: ANSYS Workbench, NASTRAN).

Responsibilities

  • Analysis from concept to drawing release of fluid and/or pressurized systems for lunar spacecraft applications.
  • Develop, refine, validate, and correlate analyses with tests using closed-form and finite element methods.
  • Produce strength checks and analysis reports.
  • Develop test verification plans and reports.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
  • Develop processes and tools.
