Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential. The role requires a Masters/PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years in stress analysis, nonlinear materials, and advanced meshing

Qualifications

  • Masters/PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with background in Finite Element Analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in stress analysis & meshing packages; expert in Abaqus and HyperMesh.
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of strength of materials.
  • Experience with nonlinear material models and complex 3-D geometry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide structural analysis and evaluation for high-temperature applications at component and assembly levels.
  • Develop 2-D/3-D models for structural behavior using FEA and hand calculations.
  • Validate modeling results with testing and field data; perform sanity checks on FEA results.
  • Identify failure modes and propose design changes; interface with cross-functional teams.
