Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Stress Analyst to own the stress analysis for carbon fiber panels, joints, and metallic structures. You will perform analyses and present solutions to engineer teams.

Requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 5–10 years for mid-level and 10+ years for senior, expertise in FEMAP/NASTRAN, carbon fiber parts, bolted joints, and basic Creo design support.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
• This requisition is multi-level seeking Mid-Level and Senior candidates with 5-10 years of experience and 10+ years of experience respectively.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Expert in Finite Element Analysis
• Experienced with the analysis of carbon fiber parts and assemblies, carbon fiber tubes, bonded carbon fiber joints, and sandwich panels
• Team leadership of a small team, preferably an analysis team or long term mentor of junior engineers
• Skilled in the use of FEMAP/NASTRAN including advanced analysis techniques and writing API scripts
• Proficient in closed form analysis methodology for bolted joints and initial sizing of structural components
• Familiarity with component design using 3D CAD software, preferably Creo, for basic design trades in support of multiple design engineers
