Job summary

LyondellBasell, based in Houston, seeks a Strategic Planning Senior Analyst to develop and execute strategic plans, perform deep financial and market analyses, and drive growth initiatives. You will partner with corporate development and business leaders to translate complex data into clear strategic direction.

This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information into actionable plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
5+ years of strategic planning and strategy development (e.g., strategy consultancy).
Strong financial modeling skills using Excel.
Experience with Chemicals or broader process industries is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing the company’s strategic plan considering industry dynamics and macro trends.
Support strategy formulation and execution, identifying target markets and growth opportunities.
Analyze competitors, customers, and markets to guide strategic direction.
Collaborate with leaders across the organization to align resources and initiatives.
Support M&A and corporate development activities as needed.
Lead analyses such as competitive, value-chain, scenario and risk analyses.
Track progress of strategic plans with metrics and report findings.
