Job summary

Box, Inc. is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Partner to drive end-to-end sourcing for Build (Engineering) and Box Security, leveraging AI and data insights to speed cycles, strengthen controls, and reduce third-party risk.

The role partners with stakeholders across Engineering, Security, Finance, Legal, and Accounting to deliver measurable commercial value. This is not an admin role; you will own procurement processes, enhance renewal pipelines, and provide reporting that informs leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement ops, or spend analytics in tech/SaaS.
• Experience with technology contracts (SaaS/IaaS) and licensing metrics.
• Strong data cleanliness and structured workflows for stakeholders.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Eng, Security, Finance, Legal.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Finance, or information systems; Zip preferred; Lean Sigma a plus.

• Strong Data Analysis & Reporting Capabilities: You love working with data and have advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and reporting tools. You are adept at extracting data, running queries, synthesizing insights, and presenting polished monthly and quarterly reports for leadership.

• Blended Sourcing & Operations Experience: You bring 3-6+ years of progressive experience across strategic sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, or spend analytics - ideally within high-growth technology, SaaS, or Cloud environments.

• Comfortable with Technology Contracting: You understand technology contracts (SaaS, IaaS, security tools, professional services), licensing metrics, and commercial negotiation levers; you are comfortable partnering with Legal and InfoSec to finalize agreements.

• Operational Problem Solver: You take pride in structured workflows, data cleanliness, and creating frictionless procurement processes for cross-functional stakeholders.

• Cross-Functional Communicator: You build strong working relationships across Engineering, Security, Finance, Legal, and Accounting, communicating complex data and commercial terms clearly.

• AI-First & Continuous Improvement Mindset: You are eager to utilize AI and automation to modernize procurement operations, eliminate manual overhead, and accelerate delivery.

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with Zip preferred. 6-Sigma, Lean Sigma certification preferred.
