SummaryThe Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in advancing Athens Services’ Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) organization. Reporting to a Senior Manager of Procurement, this role leads all category strategy development, sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and purchasing actions for a host of assigned spend categories. In support of the company’s Procurement Transformation (PTx), this role is responsible for identifying and capturing cost savings, while improving supplier performance, on behalf of Athens’ spending departments.This role manages high-value sourcing initiatives and partners closely with its supported spending departments, including Operations, Fleet, IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Experience. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for the management of virtually all of their assigned third-party spend, including finding and capturing spend reduction, elimination, or avoidance via a comprehensive set of actions, like running RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, managing product usage, and other sourcing best practices.
