Job summary

LinkedIn is hiring a Sr Manager, Strategic Sourcing to lead end-to-end category strategy for Technology Sourcing, including Cloud, Software, Telecom, Engineering and Tech Services. Hybrid work model; base in San Francisco or Mountain View with time split between home and office.

The role emphasizes leadership, market analysis, global supplier management and innovative sourcing solutions, with deep collaboration across Legal, Security, Finance and Compliance to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years' experience in contract analysis, negotiation, financial modeling and RFP/RFI/RFQ creation and evaluation.
8 + years' experience in contract drafting, editing and pricing negotiations.
Experience with large-scale indirect procurement and technology/category management.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end category strategy and execution for Technology Sourcing (Cloud, Software, Telecom, Engineering and Tech Services).
Review and approve contracts, including negotiating and drafting commercial terms.
Design data-driven sourcing strategies balancing cost, speed, quality, and innovation.
Manage RFPs, bid analysis, contract drafting/editing, and supplier negotiation.
Build relationships with business stakeholders to drive long-term sourcing plans with measurable goals.
Serve as SME for procurement practices with cross-functional teams (Security, Compliance, Risk, Legal).
Identify new approaches and processes to address business needs.
Lead and negotiate complex global agreements aligned with stakeholder objectives.
Develop internal customer relationships and manage leadership expectations.
Advise SS team and communicate sourcing value to Technology teams.
Operate as a Program Manager for key global initiatives.
