Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking a Senior Strategic Relationship Marketing Manager to lead the US wealth marketing strategy, partnering with distribution teams and client firms. The role emphasizes data-driven campaigns, cross-firm collaboration, and strategic content development across emails, digital assets, events, and digital advertising.

A strong track record in financial services marketing is essential. The role is based in Boston, Stamford, or St.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial services industry, preferably in sales or marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience working across U.S. wealth management channels, including wirehouses, independent and regional broker-dealers, and RIAs.
  • Understanding of financial markets, investment products and economic concepts.
  • Series 7 and 63 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a strategic marketing plan.
  • Partner closely with the Head of US Wealth Marketing to create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Franklin Templeton’s wealth business, that is consistent with the priorities across strategic account and sales leadership.
  • Make independent marketing decisions, functioning as a dedicated marketing account manager for specific external client firms, tailoring approach and decisions based on alignment with their leader, distribution partners, and specific client needs.
  • Support the implementation of this strategy via defined engagement, including: content development, email campaigns, digital assets, web personalization, multi-media, events, sponsorships, digital advertising and social media.
  • Continually evaluate marketing strategy to determine efficacy and incorporate any ways to further evolve and improve throughout the year.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships across our partner firms’ marketing and sales organizations, uncovering opportunities to execute custom engagement strategies and joint campaigns.
  • Work in tandem with sales and strategic account colleagues to create the right messages and content, with ongoing connectivity as to how resources are being used, what needs to change and how we can continue to evolve.
  • Manage complex multi-firm partnerships, resolving conflicts and aligning goals strategically to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Franklin Templeton global and regional marketing and operations organization to ensure effective coordination of marketing efforts.
  • Accountable for the success of assigned client marketing strategies, contributing to overall business growth through effective campaign management and content development.
  • As new placements become available and new selling agreements are made, work in close partnership with sales, strategic accounts and our partner firms to establish key deliverables to aid in promotion.
  • Proactively identify challenges or gaps in marketing plans and create innovative solutions to address them, ensuring the team remains agile and responsive to the evolving needs of the business and its partners.
  • Continually share with our partner firms what our promotional efforts have gained insights.
  • Develop and execute product and thematic campaigns supportive of key priorities.
  • Create content, as needed, including emails, collateral and digital assets.
  • Employ a data-driven approach for all marketing campaigns and share actionable insights with our sales partners.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business through marketing-led initiatives that engage a target audience through lead nurturing.
  • Employ a compressive marketing brief process, bringing together colleagues across all marketing functions to determine how best to go to market as quickly and effectively as possible, always being clear as to the intended goal and how best to measure success.

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Relationship Marketing Manager responsible for developing and executing the US wealth marketing strategy.

They should possess strong collaboration skills to effectively partner with distribution teams and key client firms, ensuring alignment and strategic goal achievement. Additionally, they must have a data-driven mindset to continually evaluate and improve marketing initiatives.

How You Will Add Value

Developing and executing a strategic marketing plan

This role is based in Boston (MA), Stamford (CT), or St Petersburg (FL) and follows a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote each week.
