Franklin Templeton is seeking a Senior Analyst in Boston to lead performance analytics and risk attribution initiatives. You will collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to explain performance outcomes and drive improvements in data accuracy.

Responsibilities include delivering fund-level analytics, supporting large-scale ad hoc reporting, and maintaining automated templates while advancing risk reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in investment risk, performance analytics, or asset management.

About The Department

The Performance, Risk, and Attribution Team is responsible for delivering analytical insights that inform investment decisions, support effective risk management, and reinforce client trust. The team collaborates with portfolio managers, investment professionals, and key business stakeholders to evaluate performance outcomes, interpret attribution results, and drive improvements in data integrity and reporting processes. A primary focus of the team is managing and fulfilling large-scale information requests from across the firm, including RFPs, DDQs, investment analyses, and other specialized ad hoc reporting needs. As a highly visible function, the team provides broad exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives while offering meaningful opportunities to expand investment, analytical, and technical capabilities in a collaborative environment.

Experience, Education & Certifications

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• Advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in investment risk, performance analytics, or asset management essential

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of performance attribution methodologies, including Brinson and factor-based approaches
• Knowledge of risk metrics, including tracking error, correlation, beta, and duration
• Experience across multiple asset classes and complex financial instruments
• Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Excel, and databases

Soft Skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement
