Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead priority pursuits across markets and service lines. This high-impact role partners with firm leaders, seller/doers, and technical teams to build differentiated win strategies and strong client positioning.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in professional services marketing and a track record of guiding complex pursuits from strategy to proposal development and interviews. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services marketing, pursuit management, or related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex, high-value pursuits from strategy through proposal development and interviews.
• Strong understanding of capture planning, client positioning, and competitive intelligence.
• Excellent facilitation and strategic communication skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth pursuits and develop differentiated win strategies.
• Coach teams on persuasive messaging, storytelling, and interview performance.
• Direct messaging for major proposals, qualifications, interviews, and client-facing opportunities.
• Oversee market research, pursuit strategy workshops, and post-pursuit analysis.
• Mentor marketing professionals and align pursuit strategies with client needs and market trends.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve targeting, opportunity evaluation, and pursuit selection.
