Job summary

Ibotta, Inc. is seeking a Senior Strategic Project Manager to lead implementation projects across grocery retail, commerce, and advertising within the IPN. This hybrid Denver, CO role requires 3 in‑office days per week (Tue–Thu) and US residency. A relocation bonus is offered for non‑local candidates.

Responsibilities include scoping resources, driving projects end‑to‑end, and mentoring others while partnering with stakeholders for measurable impact. Equity is included in the total package.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cross‑functional project management in a fast‑paced technology organization or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated competency in all phases of Project Management, advanced PMBOK project management competency, PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience with identifying, scoping, and managing complex, cross‑functional technology‑oriented projects.
  • Advanced time management skills and ability to quickly shift between projects.
  • Deep problem solving toolkit with experience accelerating projects through Business Analysis, Consulting, Lean Six Sigma, Data Analytics, or design thinking.
  • Advanced facilitation skills with trainings, workshops, meetings, and briefings to large groups of stakeholders and executives.
  • Self-directed in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and executive presence.
  • Strong business and technical acumen; relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Experience measuring customer satisfaction and engagement with delivered work.

Responsibilities

Job description

Ibotta is seeking a Senior Strategic Project Manager to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.

We are looking for someone to be responsible for leading implementation projects to partner with vanguards in grocery retail, commerce, and advertising to join the Ibotta Performance Network (IPN).

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

Not based in Denver? We will offer a relocation bonus to help make your move to the Mile High City a smooth one.

What you will be doing:
  • Identify, scope, and support resourcing decisions for project demands
  • Plan, execute, and complete projects across various departments and company initiatives
  • Work effectively on project teams while demonstrating personal accountability, leadership, and integrity
  • Set project goals, identify key wins and risks
  • Facilitate meetings, assign clear action items and follow‑ups
  • Establish KPIs and monitor quantitative impact of projects
  • For issues outside of scope, find data‑driven alternative solutions to address them
  • Lead effective project reviews and retrospectives to gather feedback, implement issue detection processes, and take action to make improvements
  • Leverage strong partnerships with stakeholders at all levels of the business to identify
  • Advance Ibotta’s project management practice and the Business Transformation and Operations team’s consultative toolkit and impact
  • Mentor other Business Transformation and Operations team members and stakeholders on Project Management practices
  • Create and maintain relevant documents using PMO templates
  • Design problem solving approaches for complex projects and facilitate the approach through workshops, analysis tools, training, and coordination

What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years experience as a Project Manager managing cross‑functional projects in a fast‑paced technology organization or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or other related field a plus
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated competency in all phases of Project Management, advanced PMBOK project management competency, PMP certification preferred

  • Advanced facilitation skills with experience facilitating trainings, workshops, meetings, and briefings to large groups of stakeholders and executives
  • Ability to be self‑directed and perform at a high level in a dynamic environment
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence key stakeholders, manage expectations, and support conflict resolution (resource, interpersonal, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presence
  • Strong business and technical acumen, relevant industry and domain experience preferred
  • Experience measuring customer satisfaction and engagement with delivered work
Additional Details:
  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.
  • Base compensation range: $106,000 - $125,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
