Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Strategic Negotiator focused on data center site acquisitions and development in the Austin area. This role combines market knowledge with tech industry acumen to negotiate cost-effective agreements, manage vendor relationships, and present recommendations to technology leadership.

The successful candidate will influence billions in operating costs and support Google's global infrastructure expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
• 10 years of experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, construction, and site selection for industrial data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external technical teams to identify, define, and pursue initiatives necessary to meet Google's ongoing data centre needs, including agreement of necessary utility connections (e.g., power, water, etc.) at existing and new green or brownfield sites.
• Monitor progress against objectives, providing regular status reports and advocating financial metrics to support both site and infrastructure related portfolio decisions.
• Manage the strategy for ongoing growth at existing regions and sites.
• Develop metrics for mapping, tracking, and advocating of a broad range of portfolio management issues regarding site/infrastructure development.
• Foster an open workplace for colleagues in day-to-day interactions and conversations.
