Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR initiatives for the Technical Services Unit, reporting to the Director of HR Partners. The role focuses on strategic HR leadership, employee relations, compensation, training, and policies to support business objectives.

The ideal candidate drives risk mitigation, compliance, workforce planning, succession planning, and partners with business leaders to align HR programs with enterprise strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years of related HR experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR leadership to managers and employees across designated regions.
• Administer a broad range of HR functions including employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, engagement, workforce and succession planning, employee development, performance management, organizational development, HRIS, recruitment support, and relocation.
• Identify and elevate emerging HR trends and issues, collaborating with business leaders to support workforce planning.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, managing conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, and discrimination concerns.
• Partner with other HR teams to address organizational challenges, recommending innovative approaches to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
• Advise managers on performance feedback strategies to support employee growth and development.
• Lead or contribute to HR initiatives, projects, and program development efforts that drive organizational effectiveness.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the HR function and the broader organization.
