Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ work experience or Associate's Degree + 4 years’ experience substituting for Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in strategic communications, executive presentation development, technical writing, or similar support.
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear executive-level messaging.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine executive-level presentations, including messaging, themes, content, and visual layout.
• Integrate technical and program information into concise leadership briefings.
• Develop briefing scripts, talking points, and presentation materials for senior leaders.
• Support conferences, leadership engagements, exhibits, outreach events, and technology demonstrations.
• Coordinate presentation requirements with military, civilian, engineering and program management personnel.

Canvas is seeking a Senior Strategic Communications & Presentation Specialist to support the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate. The successful candidate will provide strategic communications, executive presentation development, technical writing, and visual communication support for senior leadership and the Directorate’s Science and Technology mission.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine executive-level presentations, including messaging, themes, content, and visual layout.Integrate technical and programmatic information from multiple sources into concise leadership briefings.Develop briefing scripts, talking points, and presentation materials for senior leaders and distinguished visitors.Support technical conferences, leadership engagements, exhibits, outreach events, and technology demonstrations.Coordinate presentation requirements and suspense actions with military, civilian, engineering, scientific, and program management personnel.Maintain classified and unclassified presentation archives and configuration control.Support strategic planning and other communication requirements associated with the AFRL Science and Technology mission.Required QualificationsUS Citizenship RequiredActive Secret clearance6 years’ work experience OR Associate's Degree plus 4 years’ work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's DegreeExperience in strategic communications, executive presentation development, technical writing, or similar support.Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills.Ability to translate complex technical information into clear executive-level messaging.Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple time-sensitive requirements.Ability to travel approximately 5–10 times per year.
