Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a full-time Communications Principal Consultant to guide strategy and oversee large, cross-functional projects, primarily partnering with HR, IT and security on internal communications.

The role requires senior-level writing, stakeholder management, and the ability to turn data and insights into compelling stories that align with business goals. You will mentor colleagues and help shape communications across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience.
• 7 years of communications, public relations, and/or journalism experience.
• Extensive experience writing and editing communications for large audiences.
• Mastery in sourcing news from multiple channels and crafting compelling stories.
• Strong relationship management with leaders, anticipating their needs and providing feedback.
• Proficiency with software tools to support communications teams.

Responsibilities

• Build strategic recommendations for area of focus and set cross-functional work priorities.
• Lead from within by building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Consult with executives, leaders, and business partners.
• Review and mentor others, providing leadership and guidance to colleagues.
• Leverage data and insights to plan, optimize and innovate; communicate vision and plan to the team.
• Oversee cross-functional teams to deliver on strategy and ensure roles align with outcomes.
• Own execution oversight to ensure strategy is delivered and goals are met.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
